"We prevented the outbreak of war in the region" - Pezeshkian

The Iranian president, speaking at the 17th summit of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in occupied Stepanakert, said that Israel had carried out an illegal attack on Iran with the support of the United States.

According to the president, civilians and nuclear facilities under the control of the IAEA were under attack for 12 days.

“We have exercised our legitimate right to self-defense and prevented the outbreak of war in the region. Israel, with the support of the United States, has jeopardized the future of the entire Middle East. If the situation does not change, it will negatively affect the economic integration of the region. I thank the OECD member states for their responsibility. The recent summit has become an important platform to condemn such illegal actions,” Pezeshkian said.
