"Russia produces more weapons in 3 months than NATO countries produce in 1 year" - Rutte

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that Russia produces several times more ammunition in three months than all the member countries of the North Atlantic Alliance produce in a year.
"We are dealing with a serious geopolitical challenge. And this is first and foremost Russia, which is recovering at a speed that has no equal in modern history. They produce three times more ammunition in three months than the entire NATO alliance produces in a year," he said in an interview with The New York Times.
Rutte claims that the agreement reached at the summit of the leaders of the North Atlantic Alliance in The Hague to increase defense spending to 5% of GDP by 2035 is necessary to guarantee NATO countries security, including from Russia. "Yes, these are huge expenses. But if we do not go for them, we will have to learn Russian," he said.
