"Syria is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan" - Ahmed al-Sharaa

Syria is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan, said the President of the Syrian Arab Republic for the transitional period, Ahmed al-Sharaa, during a meeting with the head of the Azerbaijani state, Ilham Aliyev.
The Syrian president made his first working visit to Azerbaijan on Saturday.
"Our country is interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in the political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other areas," the Syrian president said.
According to the website of the President of Azerbaijan, during the meeting, issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Syria in the humanitarian, educational and cultural spheres were also discussed, including an exchange of views on issues related to the provision of scholarships to Syrian students in Azerbaijan and the restoration of cultural monuments.
