Two Azerbaijanis suspected of killing SBU colonel killed in Ukraine
![]() 1324 Monday, 14 July, 2025, 13:40 Two Azerbaijani citizens suspected of the murder of Colonel Ivan Voronich of the Security Service of Ukraine were killed during their arrest in Ukraine, reported Yuri Butusov, editor-in-chief of the Censor.NET website. “Some circumstances of the murder of Colonel Ivan Voronich are currently known. The identities of the criminals have been established: Gulalizada Khagani and Narmin Gulieva. Both have Azerbaijani passports... They were killed while resisting and trying to escape,” Butusov wrote on his Facebook page. The colonel was killed in Kiev on July 10, 2025. According to Ukrainian media reports, Voronich had participated in operations against Russia since 2014 and led a unit responsible for carrying out subversive activities. |
