One of the topics of the Pashinyan-Aliyev talks in Abu Dhabi was the low level of trust. This was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

According to him, Azerbaijan’s position remains unchanged, unlike Armenia’s position, which has changed many times.

“If Yerevan’s position has already changed, where is the guarantee that this will not happen again?” Aliyev said, emphasizing that such a guarantee should be international legal norms and documents.

According to Aliyev, it is necessary to make changes to the Armenian Constitution, and, in fact, this is sufficient.

“The text of the peace agreement has already been agreed upon, and the idea of initialing the document was put forward by the Azerbaijani side. Since the draft has been agreed upon, Baku considered it unnecessary to comment publicly on it, Aliyev said.

At the same time, Aliyev stressed that the parties are not far from the moment when the "reinforced concrete coffin of separatism" will be finally closed and peace will be restored in the region.
