#Bloomberg: "Ukraine could become for Trump what Afghanistan is for Biden"
![]() 707 Tuesday, 22 July, 2025, 12:45 The Ukrainian crisis could become for US President Donald Trump what the war in Afghanistan was for former US President Joe Biden. Bloomberg writes about this. Resolving the conflict in Ukraine is “not an easy task,” and its duration could ultimately lead to Trump becoming responsible for it and, possibly, the culprit, the agency writes. However, as Bloomberg notes, if he refuses to provide additional military assistance to Kiev and confront Russia, Trump could be accused of “not doing enough,” similar to the situation that Biden faced when he ordered the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan. “Trump has been leading US policy for almost six months, and the war is still going on, now it is Trump’s responsibility. He understands that he could face serious charges if Putin wins under him,” the agency quotes former US Ambassador to Ukraine John Herbst as saying. |
