23 dead in South Korea floods
![]() 1066 Thursday, 24 July, 2025, 16:21 Heavy rains and floods in South Korea have killed 23 people, and five are missing. This was reported by The Hankyoreh, citing the country's Ministry of Public Administration and Security. It is noted that the largest number of deaths was recorded in Gyeongsangnam-do Province - 13 people, in Gyeonggi-do - six, in Chungcheongnam-do - three, and in Gwangju City - one. Three people are missing in Gapyeong County, who were presumably swept away by a fast-flowing river. In addition, more than 2,200 evacuees are unable to return to their homes due to the devastation caused by heavy rains and floods. |
