Cambodia accuses Thailand of kidnapping 20 soldiers
![]() 837 Wednesday, 30 July, 2025, 15:13 The Cambodian armed forces have accused Thai soldiers of abducting 20 Cambodian soldiers five hours after the ceasefire came into effect, the Phnom Penh Post reported, citing the Cambodian Ministry of Defense. “On July 29, at approximately 5 a.m., Thai soldiers abducted 20 Cambodian soldiers. One managed to escape, and 19 were transferred to Thailand. Now, no matter what, we want the captured soldiers to be released after the ceasefire,” said Phat Wibolsophiak, director general of the international relations department at the Cambodian Ministry of Defense. |
