"We hope that Armenia and Azerbaijan will understand the consequences of cooperation with NATO" - Zakharova
![]() 1085 Wednesday, 30 July, 2025, 16:24 The member states of the North Atlantic Alliance have been striving to establish themselves in the South Caucasus for many years. This was reported by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova. “The goal, I think, is obvious: to use the potential and resources of the South Caucasus for the benefit of the collective West, especially in terms of geopolitical confrontation with Russia,” Zakharova said, noting that the NATO countries are behaving like typical colonialists. “We hope that the countries of the South Caucasus, including Azerbaijan and Armenia, realize the danger of worsening the situation with cooperation with NATO, because everyone knows what it ends with: wherever NATO appears, conflicts arise, military tension increases, peace and stability are forgotten,” Zakharova concluded. |
