"Ready to help unite opposition forces" - Ara Abrahamyan
![]() 1004 Thursday, 31 July, 2025, 14:27 Ara Abrahamyan, the chairman of the Union of Armenians of the Russian Federation, told TASS that he will help unite those political forces in Armenia that oppose the present Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the 2026 parliamentary elections. “Although I do not intend to participate in the upcoming elections, I will nevertheless use all my opportunities to help unite all forces that are capable of consistently and out of love for the homeland to use the existing economic and human potential, including the Diaspora, to revive Armenia,” he said. According to Abrahamyan, Pashinyan’s government has lost Nagorno-Karabakh, is transferring control over the country’s most important objects to foreigners, is increasing Armenia’s debt, and is contributing to rising prices. “The history of the last seven years is a sad testimony to how Pashinyan, through the manipulation of emotions, has turned people who believed in him into accomplices in the deception and national tragedy that we are witnessing today,” Abrahamyan added. “And with those who have gone astray, we need to communicate and explain to them one simple thing: you can lose your business, but start from scratch and get rich, you can lose and find friends again, but the one who loses his homeland loses everything,” Abrahamyan added. |
