US President Donald Trump said during a meeting with European leaders that he does not believe there is a threat of “further aggression” by Russia against Ukraine.
“I am optimistic that together we can reach agreements that will prevent any further aggression against Ukraine, and I think that will not happen. In fact, I think it is exaggerated, greatly exaggerated,” Trump said.
After a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, Trump told European leaders that the United States is more than ever ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal reported.
