Zelensky arrives in Washington ahead of scheduled meeting with Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Washington on Thursday, October 16, ahead of a scheduled meeting with President Donald Trump the following day.
“We expect that the momentum of curbing terror and war that succeeded in the Middle East will help to end Russia’s war against Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote on X about his upcoming meeting with Trump.
Zelensky also said he would meet with representatives from weapons manufacturers to secure additional supplies of air-defense systems.
