One of the French soldiers injured in a drone attack on a base in Iraq has died. French President Emmanuel Macron made this announcement on his "X" account.
"Sergeant-major Arnaud Frion of the Alpine Rangers battalion died for France during an attack near the Iraqi city of Erbil," Macron wrote.
It should be noted that six French soldiers were injured during the incident at a military base in the Erbil province of Iraq.
Six French citizens were injured in a drone attack in northern Iraq, in one of the districts of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
