Grossi: US-Iran talks may take place this weekend in Islamabad

The next round of negotiations between the United States and Iran may take place in Islamabad as early as this weekend. The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, told about this on 25.
"I think the talks could take place this weekend in Islamabad, Pakistan," he told the Corriere della Sera newspaper.
The head of the organization suggested that the agenda of the meeting will be significantly expanded and will go beyond exclusively nuclear energy issues. According to him, the parties intend to discuss the causes of the conflict in the Middle East.
Grossi said that the discussion will also focus on the Iranian missile program, the activities of militias allied to Tehran in the region and the provision of security guarantees to the Islamic Republic.
