The United States has left tons of dangerous garbage in Greenland.
This was found out by the Danish newspaper Politiken after an investigation at 36 former military bases. Hundreds of rusty barrels of diesel, batteries, pipes, cables, and millions of liters of low-level radioactive water were found there.
Among the waste are heavy metals that harm shellfish and other marine life.
