''Armenia needs to restore ties with Russia''. Tigran Arzakantsyan

Sergey Lavrov’s visit to Yerevan on May 20-21 made one thing clear: Armenia and Russia may be entering a new phase in their relationship. After a long period of cold ties, the two sides are back to direct dialogue and possible cooperation.
? October — Putin-Pashinyan meeting,
? January — Mirzoyan-Lavrov talks in Moscow,
? Now — Lavrov in Yerevan.
I'm not saying all the problems are solved, but it's clear that Armenia can no longer afford to drift away from Russia. The geopolitical situation has changed — U.S. presence in the region is fading, Azerbaijan continues its threats, and Turkey stands behind it.
In such conditions, it's obvious: Armenia needs to restore ties with Russia. The key is to keep things honest, practical, and calm.
We shouldn’t expect miracles, but we should remember — politics is not about pride. Our top priority now is national security. Emotions won’t help here.
