According to him, the EU has agreed to buy $750 billion in American energy and invest another $600 billion in the US economy. Brussels will also buy "a large amount" of military equipment, Trump said. This agreement will allow the EU to avoid 30% tariffs that Trump threatened to impose on August 1. "As part of the agreement, the US will impose a 15% tariff on most imports from the EU, including cars. Brussels will open its markets to American exports at a zero rate," Trump said. |
