EU extends sanctions against Russia for another year

The Council of the European Union has agreed to extend sanctions against Russia until February 24, 2024, announced in the "Official Journal of the European Union". It is noted that the decision takes into force one day following its publication in the "Official Journal of the European Union". The EU High Representative Josep Borrell, expressed confidence that the 10th package of sanctions against Russia will be adopted by 24 February despite the despite disagreements on this issue in the alliance.
