The New Zealand government announced that it has imposed sanctions on 87 Russian citizens in connection with the situation in Ukraine. “Today we announced one of the largest sanctions ever against Russia, another indication of New Zealand’s strong condemnation of its illegal actions,” New Zealand Foreign Minister Nanai Mahuta said in a statement.
The 87-person list included politicians close to Russian President Vladimir Putin, members of the Central Election Commission and military personnel. A list of the names of those who have been subject to sanctions is not provided.
