This would be the largest loss of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, stated Janek Kesselmann, Deputy Commander of Estonian Military Intelligence Center, according to ERR. According to him, there have been no significant changes in the areas occupied by Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region over the past week. The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to maneuver and set ambushes against Russian units. “The advancement of Russian forces was possible due to intense shelling, including mortar fire, using kamikaze drones, and indiscriminate fire. This effect is achieved through so-called ‘dirty attacks,’ in which Russia cynically expends its manpower,” Kesselmann stated. He also emphasized that Russian losses are quite high. “This month appears to be one of the largest loss periods for Russia. Our estimates suggest that the enemy will lose around 40,000 soldiers, both wounded and killed, throughout the month,” the Deputy Commander concluded.
