Uzbekistan signs investment deals with U.S. firms on critical minerals and tourism development
![]() 3129 Wednesday, 09 April, 2025, 22:51 Led by Minister Laziz Kudratov, the Uzbek delegation held meetings on April 7 with American firms in the mining, hospitality, and food sectors. During the talks, the delegation presented specific investment proposals and highlighted the favorable business conditions created in Uzbekistan in recent years. Executives from U.S. companies praised Uzbekistan’s economic reforms and cited successful experiences of American businesses operating in the country. Many expressed interest in deepening cooperation. As a result, agreements were signed focusing on joint investment in the exploration and extraction of critical minerals, the construction of high-pressure grinding complexes (HPGR), introduction of innovative technologies, value-added processing of raw materials, and professional training for Uzbek specialists. In the tourism sector, parties agreed on timelines for the implementation of new hotel construction projects aimed at expanding hospitality infrastructure. Each agreement is backed by a formal contract, with a dedicated project manager assigned to oversee implementation. The MIIT delegation continues its visit to the United States, with additional meetings scheduled to explore new avenues of collaboration across key sectors. |
