Türkiye and Armenia to hold first official delegation-level talks next week
![]() 1903 Sunday, 07 September, 2025, 12:08 Another key stage in Turkish-Armenian relations begins, APA reports, citing Turkish broadcaster NTV. Türkiye and Armenia are preparing to hold their first-ever delegation-level meeting early next week. According to diplomatic sources, the Turkish delegation led by Ambassador Serdar Kılıç is expected to cross into Armenia via the Alican border checkpoint. The agenda will focus on steps toward normalizing bilateral relations, including the implementation of previously agreed measures. In earlier rounds of talks, the two sides reached agreements on resuming cargo transportation and air flights, opening the border, simplifying visa procedures for diplomatic passport holders, and allowing third-country nationals to cross the Turkish-Armenian border. However, most of these decisions remain unimplemented. |
