The White House denied the #FT's report on the condition for security guarantees for Kiev

The White House has denied a report by the Financial Times (FT) newspaper that the United States is demanding that Ukraine renounce its territorial claims in exchange for security guarantees. This was announced on January 27 by the deputy press secretary of the American administration, Anna Kelly.
"This is absolutely wrong. The only role of the United States in the peace process is to bring both sides closer together to make a deal. It's unfortunate that the Financial Times allows malicious actors to lie anonymously," Kelly said.
The Trump administration has signalled to Ukraine that U.S. security guarantees depend on Kyiv agreeing to a peace deal likely requiring it to cede territories to Russia, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing eight people familiar with the talks.
