TIAC joins AGBU and other organizations in urging an end to Azerbaijan’s political persecution of Armenian prisoners of war and illegal detainees held in Baku. We are particularly worried about the inhumane treatment of Ruben Vardanyan, who is on a hunger strike—a desperate call for international intervention against Azerbaijan’s blatant violations of due process and fundamental human rights. Deprived of a fair trial and held on fabricated charges, Vardanyan is risking his health to expose these injustices.
