"Washington and Tehran will hold indirect talks in Oman on April 12" - Araghchi

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US President Donald Trump's special envoy Stephen Witkoff will be the main negotiators at a meeting in Oman on Saturday, April 12, the Iranian NourNews agency reported.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote in X that Washington and Tehran would hold indirect talks in Oman on April 12.
"Iran and the United States will meet in Oman on Saturday for high-level indirect talks," he wrote. "This is not only an opportunity, but also a test, the ball is in the American court," Araghchi added.
On March 7, Trump announced that he had sent a message to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, proposing to start negotiations on the nuclear program. Tehran has refused direct dialogue with Washington, but has considered it possible to continue consultations through mediators.
During a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House yesterday, US President Donald Trump announced that the US is holding direct talks with Iran, which will continue on Saturday.
