"In the event of an attack by the West against Russia, the DPRK will respond immediately" Kim Jong Un
![]() 630 Saturday, 10 May, 2025, 21:04 North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has declared his readiness to provide military assistance to Russia in the event of an attack on Russia by the United States or other Western countries. According to him, the DPRK will immediately respond to any threat directed against the allied state. "If the US and Western agents do not abandon their dangerous thoughts of a military attack on our brotherly Russia and carry out an attack, I will without hesitation give the order to use the DPRK armed forces to repel the enemy's attack," Kim Jong Un said. He emphasized that the actions will be carried out within the framework of the bilateral agreement between Pyongyang and Moscow. The document on comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and the DPRK was signed in June 2024 during the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Pyongyang. The agreement also provides for the provision of military assistance in the event of an attack on one of the parties. Kim Jong Un added that in the Kursk region, after the invasion of Ukrainian forces, "the best sons of the Korean people" fought shoulder to shoulder with the Russian army. They "proved with blood the strength of the allied relations between the two countries and demonstrated strong military friendship." |
