“Dictator without elections and a modestly successful comedian" - Trump about Zelensky
![]() 720 Thursday, 20 February, 2025, 10:32 The simmering feud between President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine and President Trump escalated on Wednesday when Mr. Trump mocked his counterpart in a post filled with falsehoods, calling him a “dictator without elections.” His comments came hours after Mr. Zelensky said the American leader had been “caught in a web of disinformation” from Russia over the war in Ukraine. “Think of it, a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, talked the United States of America into spending $350 Billion Dollars, to go into a War that couldn’t be won, that never had to start” Mr. Trump wrote. According to Trump, his administration is successfully negotiating with Russia to end the war, which Joe Biden did not do. According to Trump, Europe has proven that it is unable to make peace, and Zelensky himself, in his opinion, considers the war a “profitable deal” and wants to continue it. Trump advised Zelensky to “act quickly, otherwise he will lose the country.” According to him, the Ukrainian president is “giving up the election” and “has lost trust among Ukrainians.” Earlier, Zelensky had contradicted Trump during a press conference, noting that the latter, unfortunately, is misinformed, and the results of real polls say otherwise. |
