Al Arabiya: US airstrikes kill Houthi leaders Yemen
![]() 1019 Monday, 07 April, 2025, 18:57 On April 6, the United States launched a series of airstrikes in Yemen, targeting key Houthi positions in the capital Sanaa and the western port city of Hodeidah. The strikes have resulted in at least 25 casualties, including both dead and wounded, Caliber.Az reports, citing Al Arabiya. The US airstrikes focused on multiple locations, including Houthi positions on Kamaran Island, located to the west of Hodeidah, and the residence of a prominent Houthi leader in the Shaab district. The attack also targeted a meeting of senior Houthi commanders in the Tuhayta axis, situated south of Al-Jabalia, where the US military is believed to have struck a high-level gathering of Houthi leaders. Sources from the region reported that around 70 Houthi fighters and important field commanders were killed in the air raid. The attack is said to have disrupted the Houthi leadership structure, particularly impacting the Tuhayta axis, which is a key strategic point for the group. “The precision of the US strike suggests deep penetration into the Houthi leadership,” one source stated, adding that the profiles of those targeted indicate a deliberate attempt to cripple the Houthi command structure. The raid is also believed to have disrupted communications and financial networks within the Houthi movement, particularly with the death of an officer overseeing critical intelligence and financial operations. |
