According to the source, the UN Security Council called for the adoption of the path of dialogue and diplomacy to defuse tensions and avoid a military clash, to resolve the issue peacefully. A closed-door meeting was held at the UN headquarters in New York on Monday against the backdrop of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
