One of the famous names of Ani’s streets is "Bun" (Main street, «Բուն փողոց»), which starts from the Main Gate, passes through the central part of the city, and reaches the Manuche Mosque (it is clearly visible today).Another, “Veri” street (Upper Street, «Վերի փողոց»), was located in the upper part of the city, running parallel to the city walls.Other names emphasize the crafts that have dominated the streets.In particular, "Darbno street" («Դարբնո փողոց») - street of blacksmiths, "Baz street (buzznots)" («Բազ փողոց»)- street of cloths, textiles and weaving, "Sarach street" («Սառաճ փողոց»)- street of saddlers, "Nalpndnots" («Նալպնդնոց»)- street of farriers, "Koshkakarots" («Կոշկակարոց») – street of shoe-makers, "Gdakkrots" («Գդակկրոց»)– street of hatters, "Kattnots" («Կատտնոց») –street of tailors, "Polkararots" («Փոլկարարոց») – street of jewelers.Part of the city was named "Tigranants" after the famous wealthy city dweller Tigran Honents.
