The Human Rights Defender held a meeting with French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group H.E Mr. Brice Roquefeuil

On September 10, 2022, The Human Rights Defender held a meeting with the French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group H.E Mr. Brice Roquefeuil. During the meeting, the Defender presented the consequences of the military attack on Armenia by the Azerbaijani armed forces, referring to the gross and ongoing violations of International Humanitarian Law and human rights. During her speech, the Defender presented the cases of torture, inhuman and humiliating treatment of Armenian servicemen, and in particular of female servicepersons, by the Azerbaijani armed forces. The Defender also presented the closed ad hoc report of the Human Rights defender’s Office which confirm these facts.

During his speech, H.E Mr. Brice Roquefeuil highlighted the importance of the work conducted by the Defender’s Office, and presented his readiness to continue the cooperation.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Armenia, H.E. Mme. Anne Louyot was also present during the meeting.
