4147 Monday, 03 July, 2023, 09:18 A 5.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Papua, Indonesia, according to data provided by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) on Monday. The tremor occurred at a depth of about 49 kilometers, and its epicenter was located 163 kilometers south-southwest of Abepura, with an estimated population of 62,200. No casualties or damage were reported. The national geophysics agency said there was no possibility of a tsunami. |
