British Chief of the Defence Staff Tony Radakin and French counterpart Thierry Burkhard on Friday held talks with Zelensky, Zelensky wrote on social media on Saturday: “There is tangible progress and the first details on how the security contingent of partners can be deployed,” without giving details. The meeting discussed the deployment of "confidence-building" forces, which the "coalition of the willing" led by Great Britain and France sees as one of the means to prevent new Russian aggression against Ukraine if a ceasefire is achieved. Moscow views the idea as openly hostile. |
