30-year-old billionaire Sam Bankman-Fried, who was in the top 10 Forbes, lost his entire fortune in 48 hours, Sputnik reports.
This is reportedly due to the fact that the second largest cryptocurrency exchange FTX initiated its bankruptcy in the United States. Sam Bankman-Fried, who served as CEO, resigned.
Just two months ago, Forbes magazine estimated Sam’s net worth at about $17 billion. 16 of them this week he lost in one night.
It is also reported that at least $1 billion of customers disappeared from the collapsed FTX crypto exchange. The company said it intends to investigate “anomalous transactions.”
