Today should also have been the day of Vaghinak Grigoryan, who died as a result of the Azerbaijani bombings during the four-day war, Victoria Gevorgyan, who died during the 44-day war, and hundreds of children who fell victim to Azerbaijani aggression during the Artsakh movement.
We have an undeniable responsibility for the protection of children. Children are the most vulnerable group during conflicts. The fundamental rights of children, including their right to life, the right to be with family and community, the right to health, the right to personal development, and the right to education and protection are guaranteed by international conventions and require special attention.
But sadly, humanity is failing in its responsibility to provide what children deserve.
