Minister Bolin: War may begin in Sweden

Civil Defense Minister Karl Oscar Bolin warned that Sweden could enter the war.

In his speech at the National Conference, held at the Salen military base in the Dalarn region, the minister said that Russia should be taken seriously: “War may begin in Sweden, and our people should be ready for it.”

reminding the fact that Sweden was not at war for 210 years, Bolin added:

“As a result of Russia’s attack on Ukraine, the situation with security in Europe has worsened. Russia should be taken very seriously. For almost 210 years, the world has been a welcome satellite of the Swedish people. But today everything has changed, and the situation with I have worsened safety. As a responsible minister, I must explain this to the Swedish people."
