Death toll from flooding in Brazil rises to 40

In a number of localities in the state of Sao Paulo, electricity and water supply, as well as cellular communications, were disrupted. It is reported that the flood affected water, electricity and phone services. The highway are blocked by landslides and floodwaters. According to the Brazilian Civil Defense Service, a state of emergency has been declared in six municipalities. |
