''In international law, a lot depends on the correct interpretation of certain documents''. David Babayan
![]() 1400 Saturday, 03 December, 2022, 12:30 In international law, a lot depends on the correct interpretation of certain documents. Let's take, for example, the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991, which is now being actively discussed. Is there even a single mention of internationally recognized borders, or the former Soviet borders? It only states "recognizing and respecting each other's territorial integrity and the inviolability of existing borders." Thus, this declaration in no way recognizes Nagorno Karabagh as part of Azerbaijan. But, again, the key here is the interpretation itself, more precisely the corresponding one.
