According to Turkish seismologists, the regions of Istanbul are located in the 2nd and 3rd risk zones due to seismic unevenness. «All scientific research shows that the moment of earthquake in Istanbul is coming», - they believe.

Head of the Department of Geochemistry and Mineral Fertilizers of Istanbul University, professor Hussein Oztürk shared his forecast during the interview with turkish Sabah. He assures that there is a possibility that the strength of the Istanbul earthquake will be 7.2-7.5 points. He also believes that Istanbul has two scenarios. According to Ozturk, the Kumburaz fault is bound to break through. In this case, there will be an earthquake of 6.5-7.0. In case of both break, an earthquake of 7.5 points will hit Istambul».

As we remember, not only Turkish seismologists predict devastating earthquakes. Earlier a Dutch researcher who predicted the devastating earthquake in Turkey predicted another stronger earthquake from 2 to 7 of March on 12 different regions of the world.
