Oztürk: The day of the devastating earthquake in Istanbul is approaching

Head of the Department of Geochemistry and Mineral Fertilizers of Istanbul University, professor Hussein Oztürk shared his forecast during the interview with turkish Sabah. He assures that there is a possibility that the strength of the Istanbul earthquake will be 7.2-7.5 points. He also believes that Istanbul has two scenarios. According to Ozturk, the Kumburaz fault is bound to break through. In this case, there will be an earthquake of 6.5-7.0. In case of both break, an earthquake of 7.5 points will hit Istambul».
