At least 29 people have dead due to floods in India

At least 29 people have died in floods caused by heavy rains in the southern Indian state of Telangana, state chief secretary Shanti Kumari said.
''Recent heavy rains and floods have killed 29 people in Telangana state,'' the statement said.
In late August, the Hindustan Times reported that more than 20 people were killed, two were missing and nearly two million people were affected by floods in the eastern Indian state of Tripura. The Times of India also reported in mid-August that more than 30 people had died in floods caused by heavy rains in India’s northern states.
